ZAC Camp - Water Safety Camp
Event Date: March, 25 2013
Event Times: 9:00 am to 12:45 pm
ZAC Camps teach children to swim and be safe in and around pools and open water areas.
The ZAC Foundation was founded by Karen and Brian Cohn who tragically lost their son Zachary in a pool drain entrapment. The ZAC Foundation is devoted to educating the public of the importance of water safety to insure no other family has to endure the loss of a child, and has partnered with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to bring ZAC Camps to ten selected Boys & Girls Clubs of America, with plans to expand the program to twenty five Clubs in 2014. Boys & Girls Club of Green Bay was selected through a rigorous application process due to its commitment to advancing safety locally.
The awards ceremony on Thursday, March 28 will be colorful and celebratory in nature, attended by more than 100 campers decked out in their awarded t-shirts and medals. First Responders, parents of campers and media are invited.
